Even though I've been living in New Zealand for so long I am still fond of some German traditions, especially around Christmas!
This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent - I didn't quite manage to make an Advent wreath but this candle holder will allow us to light the first candle tomorrow, and always an additional one on each of the three following Sundays. And then Christmas is nearly there... :-)

I was so lucky to have this amazing view of Aramoana from the plane today!
A great place for long walks along the beach, surfing, fishing, wildlife spotting etc – all this just a short drive away from Artica Art & Accommodation :-)
